MONDAY 25 OCTOBER. 2021πŸ”» THE MAN AND HIS NAME

πŸ“… MONDAY 25 OCTOBER. 2021 πŸ”» THE MAN AND HIS NAME  πŸ“– ════════     Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10).          Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ In the 3rd chapter of the book of Acts, we read that Peter healed a certain man who was crippled from birth. The man, obviously filled with joy, threw his arms around Peter and John, ecstatic with praise to God. All the people who recognized him ran up to where they were at Solomon’s Porch to see for themselves. When Peter saw that he had a congregation, he took the opportunity and preached Christ to them. In the 4th chapter, Peter made a statement, the profundity of which is of staggering proportions. He said, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, w...

FRIDAY 22 OCTOBER. 2021πŸ”» GIVING THANKS

πŸ“₯ READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TODAY!! πŸ—“️ FRIDAY 22 OCTOBER. 2021 πŸ”» GIVING THANKS  πŸ“– ════════     In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).           Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ The will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you is that you give thanks in everything. What does it mean to give thanks? To give thanks is to speak blessings. When you study the Gospel, there’re several instances that show us how the Lord Jesus gave thanks by speaking blessings. In Matthew 26:26, just before His betrayal, the Bible says, “…as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.” On another occasion, before He fed a multitude with five loaves of bread and two pieces of fish, “… he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set befo...

WEDNESDAY 20 OCTOBER. 2021πŸ”» BE YIELDED TO HIM

πŸ“₯ READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TODAY!! πŸ—“️ WEDNESDAY 20 OCTOBER. 2021 πŸ”» BE YIELDED TO HIM   πŸ“– ════════     While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them… (Matthew 17:5).           Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ On a certain day, Jesus took with Him Peter, James and John to a high mountain and was transfigured before them. While there, Elijah and Moses appeared and spoke with Jesus. A cloud of glory overshadowed them. The glory was so much and so transcendent that Peter said to Jesus, “...Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias” (Matthew 17:4).  There’re such times when the Spirit of God overwhelms us and we become so conscious of His divine presence that we don’t want to be anywhere else. Many aren’t conscious of His divine presence in, and with them; they’ve thus reduced Christianity to mere reli...

Tuesday 19th October, 2021.*CONTINUE IN PRAYER*

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Tuesday 19th October, 2021. *CONTINUE IN PRAYER* Pastor Chris *Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).* There’re certain situations you may face and all you have to do is pray once, and that’s it. But there’re other situations that call for persistence in prayer. The Word of God teaches us about different kinds of prayers and what rules apply to them.  For example, when dealing with things about other people, especially when it has to do with their wrong choices and beliefs, you don’t just pray once and go away. You continue in prayer, interceding for them, rebuking the adversary that’s deceiving them. You have to repeatedly mount pressure against the adversary until he lets go and there’s a change.  There’s so much evil going on in the world today and the plan of the enemy is to set up the world of the antichrist before the time. But we have to prevent that. The Bible says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes trem...

DAILY DEVOTIONAL*Wednesday 6thvOctober, 2021.*DELIVERING LAWFUL CAPTIVES*

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Wednesday 6thvOctober, 2021. *DELIVERING LAWFUL CAPTIVES* Pastor Chris *Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the  mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children (Isaiah 49:24-25).* Sometimes, there’re things that happen to certain individuals, families, cities, communities or even nations because of sin—evil and wickedness that thrive in their midst; and such people become lawful captives. But because of the mercy of God, we’re able to deliver them through prayer. That’s part of what we read in our opening scripture. How do you do this? The first part is when you issue your word of faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and the second part is when you engage in heartfelt, continued intercession. Since they became legal captives by reason of their actio...

DAILY DEVOTIONAL*Tuesday 5th October, 2021.*POWERED BY THE HOLY GHOST*

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Tuesday 5th October, 2021. *POWERED BY THE HOLY GHOST* Pastor Chris *Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).* You have what it takes to win, irrespective of the adversities you may face in life. If you’ve found yourself in a precarious situation, be comforted; there’s someone living inside you, who is greater and stronger than Satan, the world, and all the troubles, elements and circumstances of this world—the Holy Spirit. You’re powered by the Holy Spirit.  No wonder John said, *“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).* Become ever more conscious of the Spirit—His power, glory and ministry in your life.  Even in prayer, you must rely on Him to pray effectively. Some people pray, but nothing happen...

SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBERHE QUALIFIED US FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER HE QUALIFIED US FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). When you confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life, instantly, His righteousness was imparted to your spirit; His righteousness became your righteousness. You’re now living in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Jesus was righteous before God; He was the only one born sinless and lived without sin. Thus, He qualified to be man’s substitute. He fulfilled all the righteous demands of justice in our behalf. He became sin on the Cross, for our sakes, so we could be made righteous. He qualified us to be righteous. Hallelujah! The Bible says Adam’s transgression made all men sinners; likewise, the obedience of Christ has made all men righteous. This is legal before God. Anyone who ac...

Thursday 23rd September, 2021.*THE BLESSING OF THE NEW TESTAMENT*Pastor Chris

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Thursday 23rd September, 2021. *THE BLESSING OF THE NEW TESTAMENT* Pastor Chris *To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).* If you’ve ever been to Israel and the Old City of Jerusalem, you’d have heard of or visited the Western Wall, or Wailing Wall. It’s one of the most significant historic sites for the Jewish people. While thousands of people from different nationalities throng the Wailing Wall every year to relish this archeological masterpiece, others religiously journey there to say or recite prayers, hoping their prayers will be answered faster at this site.  No doubt, the Wailing Wall is an iconic religious site, but God isn’t more there than He is in you. Some are carried away by the idea that if they pray at, let’s say a “prayer mountain,” a forest, or the Wailing Wall, God will hear them more. If that were true, Jesu...

SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER.INHABITANTS OF THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER. INHABITANTS OF THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined (Psalm 50:2). Paul, in his letter to the Galatian Christians, referenced the allegory of Sarah and Hagar (Galatians 4). Through the two women, Abraham had two sons: Ishmael and Isaac. Sarah and Hagar represented two covenants. Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia, and is a figure of the present city of Jerusalem in the middle East, which the Bible says is in slavery with all its people (Galatians 4:25). *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Then, there’s the Jerusalem that is above: “But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all” (Galatians 4:26). How beautiful! Read the 30th to 31st verses: “Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.” Th...

Friday 17th, September.*FAITH TALKS*

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Friday 17th, September. *FAITH TALKS* Pastor Chris *We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13).* What a beautiful and inspiring description we have in *Hebrews 11* of those in faith’s hall of fame. The Bible says these men and women tamed and framed their worlds, their eras, by faith. Abel’s offering to God, for example, was an act of faith: *“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh” (Hebrews 11:4).* Abel wasn’t just carrying out some ceremony with his mouth shut, no! He said some things, such that even in death, his blood still speaks. What exactly was his confession? It most certainly would have been in sync with what the other patriarchs confessed. The Bible says they confessed th...

WEDNESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER.TAKE CARE OF OTHERS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER. TAKE CARE OF OTHERS Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:11 AMPC). There’re Christians who got offended and almost gave up the faith because someone in their local church mistreated or disappointed them. That’s wrong. God didn’t tell us everyone in the church will like us, treat us well and always be helpful to us. But He told you to like others, treat them well, and always be willing to help. So, it begins with YOU! *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Don’t let the reason you’re the member of any particular church or group in church be that you’re looking for someone to help you; rather, develop a desire to render service, to help others. Acts 20:35 tells us that it’s more blessed to give than to receive. If you felt ignored, rejected and uncared for, that should let you know what some others might be feeling too. So, take up t...

CUSTODIANS OF ETERNAL BLESSINGSTuesday, September 14th 2021

Rhapsody Of Realities CUSTODIANS OF ETERNAL BLESSINGS Tuesday, September 14th 2021 Pastor Chris …I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). The  Christian  is blessed  in all  things.  He’s blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. In Genesis 12:2, God didn’t say to Abraham, “I will bless you and make you ‘lucky’”; rather, He said,  “…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.”  This is what  you  need:  the consciousness that you’re blessed and are a blessing!  You’re empowered to be successful; the ability to prosper  in all things has been  invoked  in your life; it’s inherent in you and works all the time. Everywhere you go, there’s favour.  Your steps are  always ordered  of the Lord; you don’t go anywhere by chance, and you don’t go anywhere alone, for...

WEDNESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER.YOUR LIFE IS SHAPED BY YOUR THOUGHTS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER. YOUR LIFE IS SHAPED BY YOUR THOUGHTS Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). It’s not every thought that comes to you that is from God. The only way you know the source of your thoughts is through the light of God’s Word, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It’s very important what you think about, and how you think, because your life is shaped by your thoughts. Our theme verse in the Good News translations says, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Screen and filter your thoughts; mount garrison over your heart, because out of your heart are the issues of life! You have to be the policeman of your heart; take charge of your heart. Don’t allow every thought. Allow only God’s thoughts, righteous thoughts and thoughts of love in Christ Jesus. The Bible specifically lets us know the kind of thoughts to allow: “Finally, br...

MONDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER.THE AUTHORITY OF HIS NAME

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER. THE AUTHORITY OF HIS NAME Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10). *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations The scripture above is definitive about the authority of Jesus. This is different from the character or identity of His Name. For example, Jesus passed by many sick people who didn’t take advantage of His identity to receive healing when He walked the earth. In fact, the Bible says He came to a place where there were many impotent folks, He healed one person and went away from there (Read John 5:1-15). Yet He had His identity, had His character. So, in using His Name, it’s about His authority. You’re not even required to squeeze up faith to use His Name. His Name is an instrument and a gift given to you to use. And the authority of His Name is ov...

FRIDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER.AN OUTWARD SHOW OF AN INNER TRUTH

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FRIDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER. AN OUTWARD SHOW OF AN INNER TRUTH Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD (Psalm 134:2). *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Have you ever wondered why oftentimes, people look towards the sky when we say, “Let us pray?” It’s actually an outward show of an inner truth, of something spiritual, because the Father isn’t in the sky but inside us; He lives in you. So, don’t get confused by the motions and outward expressions and gesticulations. Psalm 141:2 says, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” When David, a prophet of God, wrote this, he was well acquainted with the priesthood ministry of the Old Testament in the old tabernacle. He spoke prophetically and likened the evening sacrifice in the Old Testament to the lifting of our hands in worship today. *PRICELESS*❤️...https://wp.me/p9v28c-1X0 Also, the Bible says, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary...

MONDAY 30TH AUGUST.EVER-INCREASING GRACE, FAITH AND GLORY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY 30TH AUGUST. EVER-INCREASING GRACE, FAITH AND GLORY And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace (John 1:16). *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations In Christ, we were given a life that started with grace. The English Standard Version (ESV) of our theme verse says, “And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” Hallelujah! It was with grace that your salvation came. There’s absolutely nothing in this world—including its fame or fortune— that could be compared with what the grace of Jesus Christ has bequeathed to you. His grace granted you all things. By His grace, you’ve been endowed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). You have all that you require for life and for godliness (2 Peter 1:3). His grace brought acceptability, advantage, favour, joy, liberality, pleasure, and fulfillment. Glory to God! *PRICELESS*❤️...https://wp.me/p9v28c-1X0 Secondly, your life is also from faith...

THURSDAY 26TH AUGUST.TRUST THE GRACE OF GOD

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY 26TH AUGUST. TRUST THE GRACE OF GOD  Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1). There’s no doubt that as Christians, we’re mightily graced of God; He’s lavished His grace upon us in superabundance. An important question to therefore ask would be, how far can we go with this grace? How much more can we explore this grace? Our theme verse admonishes us to “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations To be strong in the grace of God is to walk in the fullness of His grace. In Acts 3, the Bible gives us a perfect example of how we can use the grace of God and produce supernatural results. Peter and John were going into the temple at the time of prayer, and they found a man who was crippled from birth. The Bible says the beggar, “Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms” (Acts 3:3). Peter knew this was an opportunity to put the grace of ...

DON’T CONDEMN OTHERS

🚩RHAPSODY OF REALITIES  TUESDAY, AUGUST 24TH, 2021.  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME 🚩THEME: DON’T CONDEMN OTHERS  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). In your life, don’t be too quick to find fault with others. Don’t give in to the urge to condemn. The Bible says the Lord Jesus has been “…ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead” (Acts 10:42 NKJV). He alone is the true Judge, and He’s rich in mercy. There may be some people around you, perhaps, even in your local church that may not be living right; don’t judge them. Instead, be the light that wins them over. That’s what Jesus said in our theme verse.  One of the reasons people may not be living right where you are may be that your light isn’t shining brightly enough. When a Christian condemns other Christians about their way of life, he may think he’s being spiritual when it’s actually an expression of carnality. Do...

SATURDAY 21ST AUGUST.THE WORD CONDITIONS YOUR SPIRIT

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SATURDAY 21ST AUGUST. THE WORD CONDITIONS YOUR SPIRIT And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2). Something very significant the Word of God does in your life is the conditioning of your spirit. The Word of God can condition you to think like God. It’s the reason we’re admonished to renew our minds with the Word through meditation. *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations When the Word gets into your spirit through meditation, you’re programmed to live accordingly. Circumstances, the world around you, and other voices may try to sway you from the Word, but they won’t succeed if your spirit is conditioned by the Word. For example, if you’ve been timid or afraid, meditate on the Word. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Keep affirming, “I have a sound mind; I’m bold, courageous, and full of power.” Before long, the Word will c...

THURSDAY 19TH AUGUST.YOUR FAITH IN THE WORD

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY 19TH AUGUST. YOUR FAITH IN THE WORD He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36). “I’ve prayed; I’ve confessed the Word; I’ve fasted; I’ve even sowed a seed; yet, my condition hasn’t improved.” Oftentimes, people agonize like this, as they struggle with their faith. This is because, for the most part, they haven’t learnt how to use their faith. *TELEGRAM*...https://t.me/dailyaffirmations Until you discover how to make your faith work, you’ll keep struggling. We have a book titled, “How To Make Your Faith Work”; read it to learn more on the subject. There may be a time of struggling in any area of your life, where you find a difference between what the Word says and your personal experience. At such times, meditate more on the Word. Don’t focus your mind on what’s happening, but on the Word, on what you believe. Soon enough, the Word will grow might...
