Let Us Pray

Father, thank You, for Who You are, the same yesterday, and today and forever. Thank You because my times are forever in Your hands.

Father, thank You, for giving me a home and making me a member of a family. Thank You for my parents and also for making a parent as well.

Father, please, help me to raise the children You have given me very grateful well, and to train them in the fear of the Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, for every mistake I made in the past, may it never repeat itself on my children. Help me to do a good job on them in teaching and guiding them against such mistakes and errors, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please grant me the grace to raise my children in Your fear and wisdom, that they may surpass me in every good way, in Jesus’ name.

Father, let Your divine protection be over my children, and preserve them from the traps of the enemy, in Jesus’ name.

Father, establish my children in greatness; let them exceed the boundaries I have set, in Jesus’ name.

Father, let the legacy of faith, wisdom, and godliness continue through my children and the generations after them, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, no matter how great I will be, make my children exceedingly greater than me in all areas of life, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, help me to do everything possible in Your will, in order to secure the future me in the children You have given me, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, help me to leave a good inheritance to my children and children’s children. May I never be too busy to invest quality time in training them, in Jesus’ name.

Father, help my children to value wisdom and righteousness above all earthly possessions, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, help me to take heed to myself, and to keep my soul diligently from making grave mistakes that may destroy my future me, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, give me divine wisdom to be able to impart to my children, wisdom from above that is first pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please, long before I am gone, let me see the greatness of my children’s children and after I am gone, may they carry on the good works from where I stop, in Jesus’ name.

Father, please continue to give Your son, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and his household the grace to stand for You and continue to share edifying messages with Your children around the world, in the mighty name of Jesus.

SUNDAY, 15TH SEPTEMBER. LET THE WORD CONTROL YOUR VALUES

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SUNDAY, 15TH SEPTEMBER. LET THE WORD CONTROL YOUR VALUES For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6). When the Bible talks about the carnal mind, it doesn’t mean a sinful mind per se, even though the carnal mind is prone to sin. A carnal mind means a mind that’s ordinary; of mere human understanding; just normal human life The person who’s carnally-minded, even though he’s born again, reasons and acts like the natural man. He lives according to the senses. He’s more attuned to, and concerned about the things of the flesh. The Word and the spiritual realities of the Kingdom hardly get his attention. Now, the Bible tells us that to live that way is enmity against God (Romans 8:7); meaning that the carnal Christian walks at cross-purposes with God. He’s not ruled by or subject to the Word of God; a state that leads to death—separation from everything gracious and divine!...

MEMORISE: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2 READ: Luke 13:6-9 6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. 7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? 8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: 9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. MESSAGE “Be fruitful” is the very first statement God made to mankind. This statement was pronounced both as a blessing and command. It is therefore obvious that fruitfulness is the heartbeat...
