OPEN HEAVEN 31 MAY 2022 TUESDAY: GOD IS FAITHFUL IV

OPEN HEAVEN 31 MAY 2022 MEMORIZE: And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:12

OPEN HEAVEN 31 MAY 2022 BIBLE READING MARK 10:28-30

28. Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

29. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

30. But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

OPEN HEAVEN 31 MAY 2022 MESSAGE

Gods faithfulness extends even to His promise to reward every man and woman according to their works. This means that the fulfilment of Jesus second coming will be accompanied by the award of certain rewards.

The implication of this is that those lazy believers who are not serious about the work of the Kingdom of God will live, though in heaven, to regret their idle life of holiness.

The apostle wrote that there will be great rewards for the ministers of the gospel who take care of the flock of God. “And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. 1 Peter 5:4”

In our Bible text of today, we read about the positive response of Jesus Christ to Peters enquiry about what would become of their labour of following Him.

The Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) assures all His followers of great rewards and above all, eternal life. This is the crux of the Christian faith eternal life.

Beloved, is eternal life your motive for following Jesus Christ? Don’t lose this eternal promise. The Bible further promises that believers in Christ shall have eternal life (John 3:16-18).

However, there are categories of rewards after this life. Some may not even get anything. This is implied in the description of the work that we do while still in this body.

Paul the Apostle wrote: “If any mans work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any mans work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1 Corinthians 3:14-15”

Beloved, remember that God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love (Hebrews 6:10). We must not be weary in well-doing because our reward is sure (Galatians 6:9).

Father, please keep me believing and serving so that no one else will take my reward in Your Kingdom, in the mighty name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN 31 MAY 2022 HYMN

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS O GOD MY FATHER

1. Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

CHORUS
Refrain: Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
all I have needed thy hand hath provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

2. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,

sun, moon, and stars in their courses above

join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,

strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,

blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

OPEN HEAVEN 17 JANUARY 2025 MESSAGE For every action or inaction, there are consequences. This is why you should consider it a great privilege when you have people around you who can correct you whenever you do something wrong so that you do not have to suffer terrible consequences.
